Today in commemoration of the 155th anniversary of the birth of Queen Adelaide, after whom the city is named, the civic flag will be flown from the Adelaide Town Hall today. The Royal command that the capital of South Australia should bear the name of the Queen which was issued from St. James's Palace in 1836, is in the possession of the corporation, which has also a number of mementoes of Queen Adelaide.
