We warmly welcome visitors and future event bookings to the Adelaide Town Hall. Our venue is currently open and has a team of dedicated staff facilitating bookings and events in accordance with a SA Health approved COVID Management Plan.

We have put in place a range of public health measures to keep our patrons, visitors, performers, artist and staff safe at all times.
Who is this information for?
Visitors, clients holding events and patrons attending events at the Adelaide Town Hall.
What is required upon entry to the venue?
If you are visiting to view an art exhibition in the Foyer, or for a meeting with CoA staff or Councillors, we require that you enter your details upon entry onto our Contact Tracing Form including your name, number and reason for visiting.
If you are visiting for an event, your details will be registered at the time of booking your ticket or registering to attend the event. It is the responsibility of the event organiser to record this information. lease make sure your details are correct when you purchase tickets or register. We also encourage visitors to download the COVIDSafe app to assist with rapid tracing.
How is the Adelaide Town Hall complying with physical distance requirements?
All staff, artists, visitors and patrons are reminded to keep at least 1.5m wherever possible when visiting the venue. Backstage and office areas, venues, theatres, lifts, and foyers have maximum capacities.

Will there be hand sanitiser for patrons?
Yes, hand sanitiser stations are at all entrances and throughout back and front of house areas. Patrons are encouraged to wash their hands before and after using the bathroom and to sanitise frequently.
What is the cleaning regime at Adelaide Town Hall venues?
We have increased daily cleaning activities across the venue, with door handles, surfaces and high-touch areas cleaned and sanitised frequently. Venues are also cleaned before and during events.
What should I bring to the venue?
Hand sanitiser will be available onsite but to avoid queues and congestion, we recommend patrons bring their own as well. Bars and water fountains may be closed so you may wish to bring a bottle of water, too. Only bags smaller than A3 will be permitted into the venue. Backpacks are not permitted.
What do I need to do to keep myself and others safe?
There is an onus on personal responsibility for the health and wellbeing of everyone:
- If you have cold or flu symptoms, seek testing and stay home until you are well. Contact the ticket provider to exchange your ticket or seek a refund.
- Wash your hands often and cover coughs and sneezes in your arm.
- Keep 1.5m from others wherever possible in foyers and queues.
- If you are vulnerable, talk to your doctor about what is appropriate for you.
- Download the COVID Safe app to keep you, your family and your community safe.
Will everyone be wearing masks? Will I be asked to wear a mask?
While current advice from SA Health does not require people in South Australia to wear masks in public or at events, this advice may change and we thank you for your cooperation.
Some of your fellow patrons and Adelaide Town Hall staff may wear masks during your visit. Please speak with Front of House staff if you arrive and feel uncomfortable without a mask.

Are you still taking event bookings?

Can I postpone my event?
Yes, any Adelaide Town Hall client who currently holds a booking, up to and including December 30 2020, are able to postpone their event and transfer to a new date (along with any associated deposits), within a twelve (12) month period from the date of their original event booking. Should you wish to postpone your event, or have any queries regarding your event booking, please contact a member of the Adelaide Town Hall team on (08) 8203 7590.
Can my booking still be processed?
All event bookings will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Adelaide Town Hall team to ensure compliance with State Government directives regarding gatherings. Clients will be contacted directly regarding any impacts to their scheduled events.
