Join acclaimed Adelaide artist Daryl Austin for a special artist talk as part of SALA Festival, held within his major retrospective The Long View at Adelaide Town Hall.
Spanning four decades of practice, The Long View brings together Austin's quietly observant paintings of the city, its people, and its edges, alongside new works that draw on the visual language of Adelaide's past. Through portraiture and urban landscape, his work traces how a place is shaped over time, and how our perception of it shifts the longer we look.
This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artist as he reflects on a lifetime of practice, the evolution of his work, and the enduring pull of Adelaide as a subject.
