The hidden gem of the city, the Meeting Hall is spacious yet intimate, charming and effortlessly appealing.

Nestled behind the Adelaide Town Hall, this venue is especially private but warmly welcoming due to its vaulted high ceilings and timber floors. The Meeting Hall was built in 1862 as a school room and lecture hall for the then neighbouring Methodist Church before becoming the first seat of Prince Alfred College.

Today the Meeting Hall provides an ideal setting for low fi gigs, intimate theatre performances and presentations. It has an inbuilt stage and PA system.

FREE REHEARSAL SPACE now available for bands on Monday nights!

Central City location, amazing acoustics, free... what more could you want!!

The City of Adelaide is offering the beautiful and historic Meeting Hall for emerging bands to hold free rehearsals from 5.30pm – 8.30pm on Monday evenings, subject to availability. It has quality acoustics and an inbuilt stage that is a perfect venue for band rehearsals.
